The Nike Cosmic Unity 2 continues to uphold the Beaverton-based company’s sustainability initiative on the hardwood adjacent to its GT Cut, Run, and Jump series. It is designed for the game’s paint occupiers and rim protectors. With the college basketball season just around the corner, the most recent on-court offering, which is well known in the women’s basketball community, wears attire like an Oregon Duck.
The knit of the shoe is set in the middle of a grey and black ensemble with metallic embroidered trim. Moreover, The collar above is filled with the latter color. While the adjacent mudguard is covered in a speckled “Shadow Grey” pattern. A prominent mint green treatment claims the shape through its mesh panels, laces, and Air Strobel-infused midsole for a nice match with the predominating greyscale pattern. The tongue, on the other hand, has a louder fit, with the pinwheel emblem and wording on the pull tabs in addition to the titular yellow hues. Underfoot, the familiar green, yellow, and orange tones blend with orange across the midfoot Swooshes. Also, the tread is finished with a tie dye pattern in green and grey.
