Air Jordan The MSCHF AC-1 Is More An Orthopedic Boot Than A Sneaker

The MSCHF AC-1 Is More An Orthopedic Boot Than A Sneaker

MSCHF is well renowned for coming up with incredibly popular viral activations and stunts. Following up on their most recent endeavor, which basically allowed participants to play Grand Theft Auto, the Brooklyn-based subversives are now offering the AC-1, yet another novel pair of shoes.

The MSCHF AC-1 is a radical departure from their other models and isn’t even a shoe. Instead, the shoe (obviously) takes major design cues from orthopedic boots, transforming what is often a painful, miserable experience into a high fashion statement. Although the style is mostly the same as its origin, the AC-1’s construction may be a little more wearing than its doctor-issued cousin thanks to the addition of a sockliner and sole unit inspired by sneakers.

See the image below for further details on the MSCHF AC-1. The cost of a set of them will be $450 USD at retail on October 19th if you want to add them to your collection.

Want something a bit less wild? The Air Jordan 4 Canyon Purple drops tomorrow.
