Under Yoon Ahn’s direction, AMBUSH has become a mainstay in the Japanese streetwear industry. While they also recently expanded their East Asian presence in the United States with the help of a number of Nike Dunks and Nike’s Air Adjust Force. The two cohorts have only been working together for four years. And this is the first time the label is bringing its expertise to Air Force 1. The holiday season anticipates the debut.
The latter models, like the previously shown “White/Black” AF1, feature quality craftsmanship throughout, high-end tumbled leather throughout their uppers, an AMBUSH-branded heel clip, and lengthened motorbike tail pipe Swooshes to give them personality.
The jet-black shoe is mostly tonal with the exception of the top tongue logo and midfoot Checks. It is a near relative of the fabled “Triple Black” appearance. It adds sharp white accents and chrome dubraes to the otherwise completely black look. Everything in the second outfit’s uninterrupted sole unit, including the heel tab, is “Royal Blue.” While the same embellishments as previously are finished in a bright yellow color.
