In three days, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM will begin. Some players have debuted the newest designs from some of the top sportswear manufacturers in the world. Moreover, they continue to develop their form through practice sessions and showcase games. Raheem Sterling of England recently helped Stone Island reveal its newest partnership with New Balance.
The Stone Island x New Balance collaboration has updated the Sterling (and Bukayo Saka) approved Furon V7 with the Italian brand’s “In Motion” camouflage after taking a performance-focused approach to its initial two offerings. The limited edition football boots have a Hypoknit top. Moreover, it is sure to witness some memorable moments on the international stage. However, the matching jersey and shorts are probably only available off the field.
The following collaboration between Stone Island and the Massachusetts-based organization will include a New Balance 574. The European design company has not yet released many details or photographs of the lifestyle collection. But the shoe is available in an all-grey, military-inspired uniform. Moreover, it pays homage to both partners’ respective heritages. One of the most visible design changes to the sneaker since 1988 is the placement of Stone Island’s trademark Compass logo on top of the tongue.
