Nearly a year has passed since the tragic death of Virgil Abloh. Additionally, even though he is no longer with us, the late designer’s influence can still be seen in fashion. Also, he has his essence in fine art, and, of course, sneakers. In fact, Nike will soon debut a four-day event that only belongs to its creation process. Abloh’s most recent posthumous release, the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma, which was recently teased in a brand-new, wheat-dressed colorway, will also make its debut at the event.
The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma is the first unique sneaker to be launched as part of the storied collaboration. It first surfaced in an October leak. The style, which was created by both Nike designers and Virgil Abloh himself, builds on elements first used in the luxury streetwear brand’s Terra Kiger 5 and most recent pair of Air Force 1 Mids. Here, an imposingly big, Air Unit-cushioned sole unit is attached beneath the track spikes. Moreover, they are distinctive to both designs. The upper connects Off-love whites of subtle deconstruction and overlay writing with the philosophy of the Terra collection.
