Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards have kept things together. Despite Bradley Beal’s absence from the starting lineup, going on a four-game winning streak. The 2020 champion is stepping up efforts with his “Childhood Dreams” lifestyle brand and announcing a joint capsule collection with PUMA of the same name, in addition to a season-high 36-point performance last week.
Drawn from Kuzma’s childhood and the 90s basketball nostalgia that surrounded him while growing up in Flint, Michigan, the collection features a hoodie, a pair of trousers, a varsity jacket, the PUMA TRC Blaze Court, and the PUMA Ralph Sampson Mule. Moreover, It also features boastful, muted tones, and cargo pockets to evoke the era’s aesthetic.
On the TRC Blaze Court, a raucous assortment of disjointed materials and faded hues extend a tightly woven olive green forefoot over a sunset orange suede mudguard. The one-piece tongue, sock liner, and lightened heel counter stitched with trademark orange accents are all covered in a dark teal outfit. A corresponding pistachio color follows suit along the shaggy suede texture of the midfoot overlay and heel. Flexing its color palette, the shoe uses a sail-colored sole unit and cream laces as neutral contrasts to soften the statement.
In contrast, the Ralph Sampson structure, which makes use of a drop-in Mule construction, puts earth tones center stage. A prominent treatment of chocolate brown anchors the midfoot and vamp of this sole unit. Moreover, it is totally made of suede. While a sandy coat adorns the mudguard, side stripe, and blue-speckled sole unit. The silhouette is finished with the tea leaf green color running along the heel and tongue tabs. Moreover, it is paired with thick cream laces from the collection.
