The adidas Top Ten 2000 has spent the last several years hidden away in The Three Stripes vault. They first expressed its historic supremacy as a hardwood mainstay for the League’s greatest in the 1970s. After that they reinvented for a new generation by means of Kobe Bryant. Amid the brand’s journey back through its archive of hoops-ready designs, adi is embedding the return of the famous model among the ongoing ensembles of the Forum as well as newly surfaced D. Rose 1.5’s and Crazy 1’s.
The Top Ten 2000 is back and has the same color scheme that Kobe had on his foot for his first-ever media day. It evokes the wildly popular 90s look of mixed-material uppers and hefty structures. The model’s upper sections are entirely covered in suede, including the mudguard, quarter overlay, and gold-branded lace closures that have been heavily inked with “Legend Ink.” Underneath, a mesh fabric governs, forming the tongue and heel collar while the sneaker is secured by elastic forefoot straps in complementary colors. The tongue and ankle “adidas Equipment” insignias are rendered in a crisp “Cloud White” coloring that contrasts with the leather-coated midfoot panels below. Pull tabs labeled “Team College Burgundy” and bearing the model’s amusing emblem are further inventive additions. Finally, bulbous branding is applied to the heel counter.
Retail cost for the adidas Top Ten 2000 is $140, and you can get it right now from the stores listed below. Enjoy the official photos of the original couple below while you wait.
More news from The Three Stripes’ basketball umbrella, the adidas Crazy 1 is back in the Lakers synonymous “Regal Purple”.
