Frank Cooker has access to a vast collection of unpublished prototypes and homages to Jumpman’s history. He was a former member of the Jordan Brand NRG team. Nowadays, We get a sneak peek at a special pair from Cooker on Instagram.. Most recently, he gave us a first look at the unreleased Air Jordan 7 a dunk competition for former professional athletes like Deion Sanders and Barry Bonds. Moreover, It was made in honor of Ken Griffey Jr’s participation in the 1992 Foot Locker Slam Fest.
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Fresh Water” is the inspiration for The Kid’s iconic “Swingman” line of silhouettes with The Swoosh. The AJ 7 follows Griffey’s iconic color scheme, with the aforementioned turquoise playing a dominant accenting role across the silhouette’s smooth nubuck overlays and a jet-black base sitting underneath. While crimson tones only sometimes appear along the embroidered Swoosh and pull tab on the forefoot. But, white contrasts are present throughout the laces and Jumpman logo on the collar. The red stripe of the Hall of Famer’s Swingman emblem surrounds the Jumpman insoles as its lone distinguishing feature.
