Shipping and logistical problems have significantly contributed to the brand’s lackluster celebration of Michael Jackson’s 13th signature silhouette. However, recently surfaced images from Sole Fly’s most recent collaboration give hope that the celebration will continue through 2023. The brand is currently quietly celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Sole Fly, a Miami-based boutique, is once again collaborating with Jumpman and extending the prevailing color-palette for a Baby-Blue offering. Jumpman has been continuously experimenting with the blue-shaded tonal spectrum through the “French Blue,” “University Blue,” and “Brave Blue” 13s.
The model’s premium suede and ripstop nylon tooling, which is used to make the upper, is painted in Tar Heel hues in honor of His Airness’ long-standing homage to the University of North Carolina. The tongue structure, knit laces, and vamp all feature light cream hues. However, the grey mudguard and heel part provide a darkened contrast with the sneakers’ blue cushioned panel. Underneath, a potpourri of hues completes the one unit. Whereas, the upper tongue and elephant-print insoles are covered by embroidered Sole Fly insignias.
In other news from NIKE Inc. the Air Max 1 is tapped to celebrate Latin Heritage Month.
